An Update from our First Grant Recipient: Kali Diston Jones
We received some feedback from Kali, the recipient of Art Collection's first ever grant . Again, a big well done to Art Collection members- this is the collective effort of £1 a week from all of us that has allowed us to make this £500 microgrant to a local artist!
Here's what Kali had to say:
Kali Diston Jones: Musician
"The Art Collection grant has been exceptionally useful to me as I have been developing my music production skills via lots of different projects. The grant has meant that I have been able to buy digital software which recreates the sound of vintage recording equipment, giving further creative character to instrumental recordings. This has largely broadened the possibilities of sounds that I can achieve in my home recording setup.
I am currently doing further research on different equipment that I could purchase, seeking advice from my university lecturers on what will help me to progress further with my production skills and professional development.
I'll let you know how it goes!
I am very thankful for being awarded this grant!"
